Kitsune is a pet, distinct from Fox. The earlier movement reference lists 1B speed and 170 jump. Acquisition reports point toward high-tier egg runs, but no guaranteed egg, Luck threshold or pity count has been established here.
How to work toward a Kitsune hatch
AllThingsHow’s September 23 article describes a Cherub route. Roonby’s September 21 player-run account discusses Solaris, Cherub and Blackhole eggs with Luck upgrades. Those reports do not establish that only one egg can produce Kitsune.
- Check Track and choose a high-tier egg you can actually return.
- Use the reported Cherub and Black Hole landmarks or the Solaris guide.
- Read the current Luck upgrade description and cost before spending.
- Deliver and hatch the egg, then check the actual pet and Index entry.
- Keep notes on attempts if comparing a method; a single success cannot establish a guaranteed rule.
Does 200K Luck or 50 eggs guarantee Kitsune?
No guarantee is supported by the reviewed evidence. The approximately 200K figure appears in player reports, while a fixed-count pity mechanism is described as a theory. Neither is an official threshold or a repeatable test here. An Index rarity label is also not a measured per-roll chance after your current modifiers.
Kitsune versus Dragon and Phoenix
Kitsune leads speed and jump in our dated 30-pet movement table. That does not establish the current full roster’s fastest pet after the volcano update, or prove it can fly. Phoenix’s reported flying role may matter more on a vertical route; compare the journey you need to complete.

Which rebirth needs Kitsune?
