How to Hatch Eggs in Ride A Pet: Steps & Fixes

Bring an egg home, place it, wait for Ready and hatch it. Find the next action when an egg stays in your basket or no pet appears.

From basket to pet

1. Return to your own ranch while watching the carry countdown. Do this before visiting a shop.
2. Check whether the egg is still carried or has been placed. Follow the egg-placement prompt; the client includes a dismount instruction and a Click Anywhere To Place Egg instruction. If the placement prompt is missing while mounted, dismount and check again.
3. Once placed, read that egg’s progress. Wait for Ready instead of repeatedly trying the pickup or placement control.
4. Approach the Ready egg and use the displayed Hatch interaction. The recorded PC run uses E; touch and console players should follow their own displayed control.
5. Read the hatch result, then find the new pet in Pets. Compare its card before placing it on your ranch or choosing it as a mount.

Find the step that is stuck

• Egg still in the basket: finish placement first; returning home alone is insufficient.
• Placed but not Ready: check its displayed progress. This guide does not establish a universal hatch duration.
• Ready but no pet: approach the egg and check for the final Hatch prompt.
• Pet revealed but placement fails: inspect ranch capacity. A pet-slot warning is different from an unfinished hatch.

If the prompt still does not appear

Note the egg name, whether it is carried or placed, the exact message and your device. Those details distinguish a placement problem from a hatch problem. Rejoining is not a verified recovery method for an undelivered egg, and buying a skip is not an established fix for a missing control.
