Choose a pet for the job you need next. For egg runs, compare movement and whether you can complete the route. For ranch income, compare each pet’s actual $/s. Save pets named by your current Rebirth panel before selling.
Choose a mount for your next egg
- Pick the route first: open ground, elevated branches or a cave exit. Identify the obstacle your current mount cannot reliably handle.
- Open both pet cards and compare their current movement values. Use the catalog as a dated starting point, not as a substitute for your pets’ level and traits.
- Practice the same route without carrying an egg. Compare missed jumps, turns and your ability to return home.
- Use the pet you can control for the complete trip. A high speed number alone does not establish flight ability or a successful volcano escape.
Example: Horse or Spider?
The September 25 reference lists Horse at 5.34K speed and 108 jump, and Spider at 3.69K speed and 129 jump. Horse leads that speed comparison; Spider leads jump. The numbers do not give travel seconds or jump height. Use the two-pet comparison, then try your actual route.
Choose a ranch earner
- Read $/s on the pets you actually own. Compare one possible replacement with the placed pet it would replace.
- Keep the conditions as similar as possible when checking a change. Record traits and level rather than attributing every difference to species.
- If the ranch is full, review the placement controls and required rebirth pets before changing your setup. Recheck the displayed earning rate afterward.
Why can a bigger pet earn less?
Two recorded Kangaroos showed $903/s at 51 kg and age 2, versus $139/s at 108 kg and age 4. This is enough to show why size alone is a poor selection rule. Their different traits and state were not controlled, so it does not identify the cause of that difference.
